I mentor educators and professional services staff who contribute to teaching, learning and the student experience in higher education. I work with colleagues in the UK and internationally from institutions recognised as higher education providers in their respective countries.

As a language education specialist, I am particularly well placed to support colleagues who work with multilingual learners, teach international student groups or use English as an additional language.

What is Advance HE?

In the UK and increasingly around the world, Advance HE is a leading organisation that champions teaching excellence in higher education. One of their most recognised initiatives is the Fellowship Scheme, which offers professional recognition to higher education educators and professional services staff. There are four categories of Fellowship:

  • Associate Fellow (AFHEA)

  • Fellow (FHEA)

  • Senior Fellow (SFHEA), and

  • Principal Fellow (PFHEA)

 

Each category is aligned with the Professional Standards Framework (PFS) 2023. These Fellowships are internationally respected and provide a structured way for educators to demonstrate their commitment to effective teaching, learning support and academic leadership.

Critical Friend Review

​Independent critical-friend review of your completed Fellowship draft, with detailed written and verbal feedback and recommendations for strengthening your application.

Live online small-group mentoring sessions (up to 4 participants), support to develop your application incrementally over time and personalised individual feedback.
